Read this section to quickly find answers to common questions about the Waikele Community Association.

How do I find out the insurance information for the association?
The Master Association insurance is through Monarch Insurance. You may contact Associa Hawaii at 808-836-0911 to obtain the contact information for Monarch Insurance. If you require the insurance information for a townhome subdivision or the Celebrations/Tropics single-family subdivisions, please contact the property manager of that subdivision. Currently (November 2025) the WCA dues are $172/quarter. The dues will increase to $195/quarter beginning January 2026. If you require the maintenance fees for any townhome subdivision or the Celebrations/Tropics single-family subdivision, please contact the property manager of that subdivision. The WCA dues cover things such as common area landscape maintenance, covenant enforcement, office rent, and community events. If you would like a copy of the approved budget summary, please email: info@wca-ohana.org. You will be required to provide your Waikele address prior to receiving the budget summary.

Townhome residents’ and the Celebrations/Tropics single-family residents’ dues are collected by the company that manages the subdivision. Please contact the property manager of the subdivision for further assistance. Visit Property Managers Page.

The Waikele Park is a separate entity from the WCA. You will need to contact the Waikele Park Director directly.

The WCA conference room is only available for reservations to the sub-association boards for their board meetings.

The golf course is a separate entity from the association. If your home was hit by an errant golf ball, the golf course advises that the owner will need to take it up with the golfer who hit the ball to try to get reimbursement for whatever was broken as the golf course does not take liability for errant golf balls.

All streets in Waikele are C&C owned and maintained. Complainant may report the abandoned vehicle to the City via the Honolulu 311 app or online via the C&C report a problem feature.

My neighbor and/or guest parked in my parking spot in front of my home. Can the Waikele Community Association make them move their car?

All streets in Waikele are C&C owned and maintained. Homeowners do not have designated parking spaces in front of their home. All street parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Complainant may report any noise disturbances to the HPD by calling 911.

Email a photo and location description of the bulky item(s) to info@wca-ohana.org.

Soliciting is not illegal in Waikele. You may choose to engage with the solicitors or ask them to leave your property.

All suspicious people should be reported to HPD by calling 911.

If the graffiti is on association property, please email a photo and location description to info@wca-ohana.org. You may also report the graffiti via the Honolulu 311 app or online via the C&C report a problem feature.

All streetlights/signs in Waikele are under the maintenance of the C&C. Complainant may report a broken streetlight/missing street sign to the C&C via the Honolulu 311 app or online via the C&C report a problem feature.

Please report all irrigation and landscaping concerns to the General Manager, Malcolm Ching, at 808-676-1991 ext. 3 or malcolm@wca-ohana.org.

The association follows the Whitesell v. Houlton case that helps to determine what is a nuisance vs. non-nuisance regarding landscaping. Owners have the right to cut any landscaping that is coming over to their property (only up to the property line). They may not cut branches that are on their neighbor’s side of the property line. Overhanging branches which merely cast shade or drop leaves, flowers, or fruit are not nuisances.

Overhanging branches or protruding roots constitute a nuisance only when they actually cause, or there is imminent danger of them causing, sensible harm to property other than plant life, in ways other than by casting shade or dropping leaves, flowers, or fruit.

All emergency water leaks will be addressed within 1-4 hours. Non-emergency water leaks will be addressed in 24-48 hours.
