John Kinder
President
John Kinder has called Waikele home for over 31 years. Since 2024, heʻs been honored to serve as the President of the Waikele Community Association Board of Directors. With more than 30 years experience in the banking industry as a corporate fiduciary, John brings a background in Trusts & Estates, Investment management, Retirement planning & Trust administration. He works closely with the WCA Staff and Board members to help guide the Associationʻs operations and long-term strategic planning. Above all, John is dedicated to keeping Waikele as the premiere planned residential community.
Naomi Rodriguez
Vice President
Naomi Rodriguez has lived in Waikele for about 28 years and is honored to serve as Vice President on the WCA Board of Directors. She regularly attended “Lunch w/ the Law” events and has been actively involved in community activities including clean-ups and advocacy efforts. Naomi is passionate about keeping Waikele beautiful, safe, and thriving for future generations.
Mary Higa
Secretary
Mary Higa serves as Secretary on the WCA Board and is focused on building community engagement and safety. She advocates for making Waikele a clean, safe community with increased neighborhood participation in security walks and community events. Mary has ambitious goals for community recycling programs, sports activities for children, and enhanced amenities for residents.
Dennis Makabe
Treasurer
Dennis Makabe serves as Treasurer of the Waikele Community Association Board of Directors. He oversees the financial management and budgetary responsibilities of the association. Dennis brings financial expertise to ensure the community’s resources are managed effectively and transparently.
Brian Kunihiro
Director
Brian Kunihiro is a retired VP of Foodservice who has resided in Waikele for 25 years. He currently volunteers with the Aloha Diaper Bank and stays active through regular walking, playing Hanafuda and Mahjong, and participating in the Neighborhood Security Patrol. Brian is honored to serve the community that has been his home for over two decades.
